Welcome to the quiet centre of the village of Reeth in Swaledale, - the Community Orchard Garden. It is open all year round to those who enjoy borders full of colourful perennials, a shady bench under a tree or beside seasonally planted tubs, an area where young children can play using their imagination, and a small flower meadow recreating those seen and preserved higher up the dale. There is an interesting exhibition area in the beautifully restored Old Privy, telling the history of the site and its development. Visit www.reethorchard.org.uk for more.....

Transport Project

Ring to Ride operates from Hudson House offering transport to those who most need it or are unable to afford a taxi service or reach the regular service. Self drive is also available.
The Ring to Ride service is run by the community of the two dales of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale and managed in partnership with the Richmondshire Council for Voluntary Services.
Wherever people live, they need to travel for work, pleasure and to access essential services. In the rural areas of the two dales, there are many people who cannot access public transport or do not drive due to age, disability or affordability.

Now a group of 9 local business owners meet monthly to develop the forum's aims for the benefit of every business in the two Dales. It is a forum representing members' interests, all of whom are welcome to get involved, or to just enjoy the benefits of membership and receive regular information about our activities
